John Prine is just a most brilliant writer and Bonnie Raitt one of my idols. So this was an obvious choice. My audience are mature and anyone who has been in a long term relationship can relate. What I find so amazing about this song, as a songwriter, is that John Prine wrote it
from a woman’s perspective, just brilliant! It sits where I do between country and blues. It was
great to sing the choruses with Jon Abo and the band cut it in one take !
